Train services, which were severely affected on Kottavalasa Kirandul line and Koraput Rayagada line, due to heavy rains in Odisha and Chattisgarh, resumed on Sunday. While the train services resumed on the KK line by 7 p.m. on Saturday, they were fully restored on Sunday.
The trains on the KR line attained near normalcy on Sunday, according to Senior D CM, Waltair, G. Suneel Kumar in a statement here.
Due to late running of pairing train, train No. 58501 Visakhapatnam -Kirandul passenger, was rescheduled and left Visakhapatnam at 8.20 a.m., instead of 6.05 a.m. on Sunday.
Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Saran Mathur appreciated the relentless efforts of the staff and officials, who were involved in restoring normalcy of train services in short span of time.
