Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for the construction of MSME parks at Panchadarla village in Rambilli mandal via video link from Amaravati on Thursday.
The Chief Minister participated in the 6th round of the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme at Panchadarla through video conference.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Naidu said that his objective was to put the State at the top of the country in industrial development. Small industries will generate more employment. The Adani Group has come forward to set up a data centre at an estimated cost of ₹70,000 crore in Visakhapatnam. About one lakh persons are estimated to get jobs, Mr. Naidu said.
Ruling out the possibility of hike in power tariff to small industries, he said LED lights would be provided to villages. He laid the foundation for 31 MSME parks at an estimated cost of ₹2,500 crore.
Veera Lakshmi of Rampachodavaram told the Chief Minister through video conference that how she had set up an LED bulbs manufacturing unit in 2016 and had achieved a turnover of ₹4 crore in three years and was providing employment to 70 others.
HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, MLC Pappala Chalapathi Rao, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Lalam Bhavani, MLAs Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, Peela Govind Satyanarayana, Collector Pravin Kumar and Industries Commissioner Siddharth Jain were among those who participated in the programme.
