US-based doctor reaches city to pursue her passion of Ayurveda

The ancient healing system of Ayurveda has found a dedicated practitioner in Nicole Wilkerson, a 47-year-old doctor from the US who has been practising it for many years now. Ms. Wilkerson arrived from California in Visakhapatnam with 10 of her patients in tow, to take part in a 21-day treatment and training course offered by a city-based doctor K.V.P. Tejaswi Dwibhashyam. Highly effective
During my childhood, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. She was cured with natural forms of treatment (Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines) only. That deepened my belief that Ayurvedic treatment has immense healing powers. I personally witnessed how effective it is while learning the practice, she said. The US-based doctor says Ayurvedic treament is intertwined with spirituality and lifestyle. Hurdles in USMs. Wilkerson, who runs the New Leaf Ayurveda clinic in California, says Ayurvedic treatment is slowly gaining attention in the United States. Unfortunately, not all Ayurvedic treatments can be done in the US as the country has strict norms governing medical treatment. Many patients suffering from neurological issues, autism, parasite infections, and stomach inflammation are being treated through Ayurveda. Ayurvedic treatment enjoys good reviews in California and will improve in the future, she said. City-based Ayurvedic doctor K.V.P. Tejaswi Dwibhashyam said, It has been a good experience training them. They are dedicated to ensuring a healthy diet. Many have been following Ayurveda for a few years.
