Collector Pravin Kumar on Wednesday warned the officials of action for being lax when comes to the implementation of welfare programmes introduced by the government in the agency area.
Any laxity of the officials will be viewed very seriously, he said while reviewing the implementation of the various welfare schemes here.
The target set for various welfare programmes must be met without fail and the works must be completed by the January-end, he said.
The Collector assessed the progress of the works undertaken as part of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), construction of individual toilets in the villages of Visakhapatnam Agency.
He also enquired about the implementation of the works relating to solid waste management, digging of rain water harvest pits, power supply, installation of LED lights in the rural prockets and works undertaken at anganwadis.
Sanction
Of the ₹28.56 crore sanctioned for the rural employment guarantee scheme, ₹16.83 crore has been spent so far, Mr. Pravin Kumar said.
