After a washout on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, Parliament will reconvene on Thursday for the third day of the Winter Session. The Rajya Sabha plans to take up The Representation of the People (Amendment) Bill, 2017, which will change the way voting is carried out in India. The amendment to The Representation of the People Act hopes to recognise overseas citizens of India as citizens with voting rights, allowing them to vote by proxy.
